The paper is [here](https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-025-60396-y)
This is the fate that awaits all of us, and every animal, fish and bird if we don’t do something to combat the rising heat problem while our manufacturing abilities are at there highest.
White everywhere is what is needed and although the idea sounds to simple to be true, really is our only hope.
At what temperature rise do we lose our tropical forests?
Did this headline travel back in time to visit us?
“New fossil explains why”
Fossil: Is ancient human from 5 million years ago
Key point here:
“During the Permian–Triassic Mass Extinction (PTME) at ~252 Ma, around 81–94% of marine invertebrate species and 89% of terrestrial tetrapod genera became extinct2. It is generally agreed that the PTME was driven by volcanogenic carbon emissions from Siberian Traps volcanism, potentially coupled with additional thermogenic releases, resulting in intense greenhouse warming”
WE (US, EU, China, Russia and India) are primary drivers of the thermogenic releases. We are just going to experience this in SLO mo.
I don’t think i can survive 5 million years of lethal heat, chief.
Oh are we doing a Dune now?
I learned about this 20 years ago. This isn’t news.
