Still remember the shock of hearing the news. Was so sad. Joey was a total legend.
That man did more to unite the community that any politician ever could.
And yet we named the airport after George Best.
Road is an excellent documentary on the Dunlop brothers. I think it’s on Prime or possibly Netflix.
Joey was a good lad, didn’t he used to personally drive van loads of toys and things like that over to orphanages in Eastern Europe?, what a fella, RIP.
True, growing up his status was mythical, up there with Muhammad Ali and Ayrton Senna in terms of greatness.
I highly recommend Liam Becketts’ book Full Throttle – super interesting insights into a racing dynasty, brilliant book. RIP to Joey and Robert 🫡💚✨☘️
Was our ultimate hero growing up, can still remember where I was when news came over the radio, stripping radiators in my first house.
I remember the day well, getting home from college and my mother telling me. watch the tv news and the presenter lady crying, I got to see him race a few times, he was special, as were Robert and William, sadly missed,
the greatest to ever do it.
R.I.P Joey. Utter legend and an absolute demon on a motorbike.
