  1. There’s no mechanism to cancel it but that won’t stop them from just not doing it.

  4. IF he dared, states run their own elections, not the federal government, so he can say he’s cancelling it but i’m willing to bet at least 25 states will just fucking do what they do, if not more.

    this would definitively be the constitutional crises to determine the fate of our nation though.

  10. Minnesota here. We almost always have the highest percentage of voter turnout. I guarantee there will be an election here next year.

  11. Extreme and illegal gerrymandering could do the trick. Multiple states could do crazy gerrymanders and just ignore the courts. After the election, the gerrymanders would be determined as illegal, but so what?

As much I feel it’s so easy to doom spiral that he may do this I’ll try and stay optimistic that it won’t get that far though shit has been going down hill his way so far and we aren’t event a year into this shit show dumpster fire. There are so many things that should’ve been a death knock to his career yet somehow people still think he isn’t in it for himself and isn’t insanely corrupt.

    He has removed legal recourse by having judges up his exhaust pipe.

    Maybe the pundits should spend more time coming up with solutions and not just stating the obvious. We knew this last year!
