Maniacs Murder Cult does sound like the sort of thing that should be proscribed

I wonder if people would be as quick to support Russian Action, if they went about telling the UK government they should not support Ukraine all the while sabotaging UK military assets, UK Defence companies and assaulting police officers and security guards with sledgehammers and axes.
remarkably scummy from to roll all 3 into 1 order. So any MP that opposes PA being classed as a terror group gets instantly smeared as “well they voted against neonazis being proscribed”.
Even if you dont like PA; this is a bad sign for our civil liberties. Labour fawns over the memory of suffragettes and miners who both took much more extreme action.
Not even say that at least one of the planes painted is back in service. So the impact is fairly neglible. Its not even a plane owned by the RAF for christ sake; for some reason we have our military logisitcs in a PFI. Its a far cry from the swathes of folk saying that it was permanent damage and that protestors armed with a scooter and spraypaint should be executed.
I’m in full support of proscribing Palestine Action:
1) Not committed to non-violence, say things like “no action can go too far”. Have committed acts of violence against the person.
2) Terrorist emulating website “form a cell, evade the police, attack targets etc.” They clearly try hard to emulate terrorists for whatever reason.
3) Foreign influence nightmare, produces unverifiable list of targets that then get attacked, created by utterly unknown and unaccountable people. Completely unknown funding.
4) Attacks civil society e.g. lawyers who sought an injunction against Palestine action.
5) Attacks national security, we surely all know that one.
It’s basically all terror/fifth column cosplay until it’s serious and point 5 is probably a suitable place to draw the line before they killed someone, which I truly believe they would have done.
Never heard of the other two. Are they putting them on to pad out the ban a bit ?
>MMC is a white supremacist, neo-Nazi organisation that is transnational and predominantly online. It aims to encourage individuals to engage in acts of violence against those it perceives as “anti-social”, to further its causes.
>MMC leaders and members have claimed a number of violent attacks globally. MMC supplies instructional material which provides information that can be used by an aspiring attacker to increase their capability or motivation to conduct a terrorist attack posing a threat to the UK.
>Proscription will help deter individuals from engaging with MMC’s violent and misanthropic content. Further supporting social media platforms to remove MMC content and the Police in their efforts to respond to individuals found in possession of such material.
>RIM is a white supremacist, ethno-nationalist organisation which seeks to create a new Russian Imperial State. Via its paramilitary unit, the Russian Imperial Legion, RIM has fought alongside Russian forces in Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine, directly advancing its own ideological causes.
>RIM manages a paramilitary training programme called Partizan, which increases the capability of attendees to conduct terrorist attacks. In 2016, two Swedish nationals attended Partizan before committing a series of bombings in Gothemburg, Sweden.
>Proscribing RIM will continue the steadfast support of Ukraine in its resistance to Russian aggression and demonstrate the UK’s commitment to countering future threats from Extreme Right-Wing Terrorists.
Yeah that’s pretty fair tbh. Maniacs Murder Cult sure is a damn wild name though. Is that the one that thinks all humanity should die for the good of the planet? Or am I thinking of one of those murders in the US that hit international headlines a few month ago?
Given how consistently these threads contain completely fictional assertions about PA’s actions, I think it would be useful if they had a standing link to the wikipedia article.
Makes sense. Palestine Action was founded by some weird rich kid who’s got a history of fanboying about the USSR. It is no surprise PA as a result tend to shout about freeing Palestine as they sabotage equipment intended for Ukraine.
The most blatant and transparent foreign asset in recent memory and it does the pro-Palestine movement no favours when they defend them.
> Proscription is ideologically neutral.
HA!
If so how come the IDF and Mossad are not on that list? They have both done a *lot* worse than spray paint.
Crazy that people are still like “it’s just spray paint”
Aren’t these the guys that attacked a police officer with a sledgehammer? Broke into a military base with the intention of damaging and grounding a military plane?
What’s next? Smart move from the government they’re obviously a danger
