South Korea’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, Upbit, has announced the upcoming listing of MOODENG, a popular meme coin on the Solana network, with trading pairs in Korean currency won (KRW), Bitcoin (BTC), and Tether (USDT).
Trading will commence at 10:30 PM IST (5:00 PM UTC) today, and deposits can be made into accounts within two hours of the announcement. This will make MOODENG more famous, particularly in South Korea, where many people use Upbit.
As per the reports, the exchange will use the Solana network for deposits and to make withdrawals easier. MOODENG was launched on the Solana blockchain in December 2024 and has become a hit as it gained the community’s attention and became a favorite. Its unique story has caught the attention of crypto fans.
Upbit offering it in KRW, BTC, and USDT shows they believe it can attract lots of different traders. To keep things smooth at the start, Upbit has some rules, like no buying for the first five minutes after launch, and for two hours, you can only use a specific type of order (limit orders).
Right now, MOODENG’s price is about 232.73 KRW, 0.00000157 BTC, or 0.171 USDT, and it might get busier once trading begins. Since meme coins can be risky and prices can change a lot, Upbit warns everyone to be careful.
