Are there any updates regarding the downed fighter jet and helicopter from a month ago? The German newspapers had reported about it on 03/03/2022 and there was never an update. I wonder if there are any updates in Romanian media and they know the reasons by now.

They weren’t downed by anyone, they went down most likely due to bad weather and/or technical issues. MIG-21 is extremely old being built in the mid 1960s and despite the “Lancer” modernization program in the early 2000s the plane is known for going down quite often. Probably the helicopter was quite old as well, most likely built in the 1980s.
Update as in what? All personnel involved are deceased, the romanian MoD has started an investigation, I’m not certain of its’ state as of now.

Official update is severe icing conditions
