> “We are so fortunate and blessed to be on a network TV show for five seasons, and for people to still be fans,” Brunson explained. “That being said, I have cast members who would love to pursue other projects, and our show is very time-consuming. We shoot about seven months out of the year. That can stop people from being able to do a lot of other things.”
> “Right now, I’m receiving scripts, and waiting for that moment that feels like, ‘Oh man, this is exactly what I’ve been looking for,’” she said. “’Abbott’ has been so successful, and I want to use that success to get other people’s projects off the ground.”
She should play a villain next.
How many actors have done this and never amount to the same fame they achieved on TV.
Good to end it before it gets worse
It just feels like they’ve hardly gotten started. I don’t know why that is, I’ve been watching since it began. I don’t feel like I’ll remember this show in 10 years like i do parks and rec
I need her to do that Rom Com with Daniel Radcliffe.
$350,000 per episode and she wants to move on? Must be nice.
It’s such a good show that DOES NOT receive the flowers it deserves.
That said, I worry that these other projects might… not get their flowers, either.
Lighting rarely strikes twice for the majority of television actors. Right now, you have a hit network tv show. Ride that mother till the wheels come off.
All I ask is how all the teachers have the exact same lunch break everyday.
Can’t wait to watch one of them as a guest in some random show and be like “ oh shit, the janitor from Abbott… wonder what he’s doing”
does that mean this god-awful unfunny ass show is finally ending
Wow why is everyone so bitter about this lol
Takes a lot of confidence (or hubris) to think that you can leave a hit TV show and then have another project succeed, especially for the other non-Quinta, non-Sheryl cast members.
It’s like impossible to land a hit show, so when you get one, wanting to leave seems like a not-great decision. See also: almost every actor who left hit shows in the 90s/00s because they thought they were going to be movie stars and ended up fading into nothing
