The UK is bracing for some of its highest temperatures in 3 years with an Amber Alert now in force across all of England And it’s not just Britain Much of the Mediterranean is sweltering too Across the channel in France temperatures could soar to 38° in some regions Four departments in the south are under the second highest heat alert and there’s no sign of relief just yet A second heat peak is expected this weekend and into early next week caused by a more stable weather pattern A powerful heat dome essentially a large stationary area of high pressure will settle over Western Europe It traps hot air stops weather systems from moving through and intensifies the heat by compressing the air That heat dome is now gripping parts of southern Europe sending temperatures soaring across the Iberian Peninsula In Spain it’s turned deadly With the heat expected to surpass 40° this weekend authorities are bracing for a rise in heat stroke cases In Greece the extreme temperatures are triggering wildfires On Friday homes were evacuated and water bombing planes deployed as 130 firefighters tackled fastmoving flames south of Athens That blaze is now under control but with temperatures forecast to stay around the 40° mark the fire risk remains dangerously

Southern Europeans braced Saturday for the first heatwave of the northern hemisphere summer, as climate change pushes thermometers on the world’s fastest-warming continent increasingly into the red. Temperatures are set to rise to 37 degrees Celsius (99 Fahrenheit) in Rome, driving the Eternal City’s many tourists and Catholic pilgrims to the Vatican alike towards the Italian capital’s 2,500 public fountains for refreshment.

  7. Unusual not to see the Chemtrail sky plazma squad ruining the Sun daily since 02/22 all x Mediterranean. Quite worrying. This must be planned. Fires. Pollunators. Plankton.

    July, August, who knows whats's coming.

  12. Me chilling in Thailand at the moment: oh gosh, bit warm here. Maybe today will reach 27 degrees. But it’s so cloudy and it drizzles so.
    NB: Northern SE Asia has winter (down to a single digit in some regions,
    but their summer is March-early May. Then it’s just rain, rain, rain until winter comes in late October.

  13. I bet if you went back just say 30yrs, you would find in 29 of them the summer temp ALSO hit the 30's and often, more than on one day ?

  19. And it's all our fault for not buying electric cars and heat pumps. Nothing to do with that gigantic nuclear reactor in the sky and Milankovitch cycles, etc.
