Any republican that claims to care about fiscal responsibility is just delusional. The party hasn’t been about it for decades now and this bill is what anyone will point to when they make that argument.
By far the most sinister aspect of this is that the tax cuts, ICE money, and concentration camp money will be available immediately, but the Medicaid and SNAP cuts are delayed until after the midterms.
The Democrats will campaign on this and with luck could win the House and Senate. Then the cuts will come in and devastate millions. Because Trump will be president still, nothing can be done to fix it.
Republicans and Fox News will instantly turn around and blame Democrats for the suffering. The same voters who handed power to Dems will believe the lies.
After two years of getting nothing done voters will return Republicans back to power, and they will pass another tax cut and further devastate society.
The cycle will continue until this nation is dust.

Thank GOD BBB passed! The top 1% was getting soaked by our tax system paying nearly 50% of their income in all forms of taxes (Federal/State/Local Income taxes, FICA, sales taxes, property taxes, excise taxes, etc) while the bottom 50% barely pays their fair share!

Good thing they did it on a Thursday before a long weekend so nobody’s paying attention! Now they can continue to fuck up our country while tactically pushing stuff through when visibility is as low as possible.

Bond vigilantes will dictate long term rates regardless of the Fed’s rate decisions for the foreseeable future.
I will vote for a democrat if they promise to put together a spending bill that will reduce the deficit with across the board cuts and huge slashing of government waste. A bill that doesn’t include raising taxes on people who make less than 100k.
It seems to me we have a competition to see who can bankrupt the country fastest. We need big cutbacks. Nothing sacred, nothing off limits except taxing the poor to pay for pet projects.
