Fox News Highlights – July 1, 2025

Good evening everyone. I’m Laura Ingram. This is the Ingram Angle. Thank you as always for spending some time with us. Proud to be an American. That’s the focus of tonight’s angle. It’s not a good streak. Today, Senate Democrats lost the battle to derail Trump’s big, beautiful bill.
On this vote, the yays are 50, the nays are 50. The Senate being evenly divided, the vice president votes in the affirmative. The bill as amended is passed. Democrats have lost case after case at the Supreme Court and they’re slowly losing their ideological monopoly at colleges and university. They’ve lost America on the trans issue. And of course, they’re steadily losing ground among young men and Hispanics. And the trend of losing extends to another area, patriotism. They’re losing that, too. In the 1980s, when I was a kid and a student, the nation overall was extremely patriotic. The Reagan era was top gun all the way. But over the past 20 years, the percentage of Americans who say they’re extremely or very proud to be an American has been declining. It’s been falling from 83% to 58%. But when you look more closely, that slide is almost entirely due to the fact that Democrats pride in the country is cratering. Check out these numbers. Republican patriotism only slipped by 1% over two decades, 93 to 92%. But among Democrats, pride in the country dropped a staggering 45% from a robust 81% in 2005 to a pathetic 36% today. 36? What? A Harvard political review survey from earlier this year saw similarly sad results. Only 41% of young Americans said they were proud to be American. But among young Democrats, only 24% expressed pride. And from last year’s long-running survey of high school seniors in the Atlantic, only 27% of high school seniors agreed that the US system was the best in the world. That is a huge decline from 67% who thought that in the early 1980s. Now, this crisis in patriotism is real. Shouldn’t be ignored. And while both parties contributed to it through terrible economic policies and unnecessary wars, the Democrats really started it, really started digging in with Obama when they deliberately fed our young people a steady diet of anti-American propaganda. Remember, they’re only really happy with America when they get their way. They love the pandemic. Remember, with millions of Americans stuck at home, couldn’t go to church, a lot of them couldn’t go to work. But other than that, America’s just a place that has a lot of sins to atone for.
And let me tell you something, for the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback. There have been times where America’s shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derissive.
There systemic racism is a stain on our nation’s soul.
The origins of of racism cannot be separated from the origins of capitalism. The origins of capitalism cannot be separated from the origins of racism. The life of racism cannot be separated from the life of capitalism and vice versa. On college campuses, this message is common. Those words of Ibram Kendy, you know, systemic racism, capitalism, it passes as enlightened history today. And of course, rather than attempting even a nuance view of America, legacy media and most Democrats, they keep the lies going. They feed the beast of anti-Americanism for votes. They don’t just lie about America, but they lie about those who are trying to help America. So, we’ve gone now from having run-of-the-mill political disagreements to promoting anti-American and sometimes even violent reactions. If deranged people, disturbed people, especially young progressives, really in their heart of hearts, believe that Trump and MAGA will never allow another election to be held, that Trump will deport American citizens he disagrees with, that America is a racist country, then look, this slide in patriotism is as predictable as what we’ve seen in our streets. More foreign flags waving and more American flags burning. down with US imperialism. [Applause] [Music] Did they ever ask, by the way, that if Trump was a fascist, you heard those chants? How is it if it’s a fascist country that other parties and other party members feel free to vote, you know, against his signature legislation? People in his own party can vote against his signature legislation. If he’s truly that dangerous as a president, then why were the No King’s Day protests even allowed to take place? This is so ludicrous. But the anti-American themes are repeated everywhere. Now, this is one of the dumbest headlines ever from the New York Times. Trump’s America is beginning to look more like China. The opinion piece claims that Trump’s return to office has made clear that in important respects, democratic erosion, the fixation on strong borders, the curbing of free speech, other numerous examples, America is starting to look a bit more like China. Honestly, it’s it’s not really worth responding to. But now having a real border qualifies in these pea brains of being a dictatorship and deporting non-citizen terror sympathizers as communist. And I love it. Whenever liberals opine about democratic erosion, we should all let out a collective howl because where was their concern about attacks on democracy when they tried to kick Trump off the ticket or of course when they pushed out their own nominee? The truth is Democrats are the ones Democrats are the ones who’ve had the problem with democracy all along. And they sure do have a problem with American ex- exceptionalism. They don’t believe it. At times they even say the quiet part out loud. America great again. It was never that great. We have not reached greatness. We will reach greatness when every American is fully engaged. That’s a golden oldie. Now, from AOC to now M Donnie to far-left politicians in LA and Minneapolis and beyond, they believe in their heart of hearts that America can only be redeemed when she’s totally dismantled and then remade with millions of new people from other countries with a total destruction of capitalism and of course doing away with all our historical traditions. That’s why they ripped down all the statues. Now, as Trump is out there swinging, swinging for the fences to grow the economy, to bring peace to war torn regions, to keep Americans safe, the other party has nothing to offer but this same type of bitterness, resentment, and slander toward our country. So, when will sensible Democrats see that of anti-Americanism is hurting them politically? Don’t they remember what happened when they lost America in the 1980s? All their fury, all their bitterness cannot stop the president and his team from rebuilding and building a new era of peace and prosperity. Look, Independence Day is almost here. We should all celebrate together, be proud of our country together, regardless of which parties in charge. And that’s the angle. We begin tonight with the Washington swamp where the one big beautiful bill just cleared a massive major hurdle passing the US Senate with a narrow vote early this morning. Uh fair warning by the way I told you last night it’s not a pretty sight when you watch the sausage getting made in the swamp on Capitol Hill. Uh all my years watching politics, it never has been. And similar to the House, the Senate’s version of the big beautiful bill is not a perfect bill. For example, thanks to Democrats, there’s that provision uh no provision to strip funding to blue states who offer taxpayer funded Medicaid to illegal immigrant criminal uh criminals. Why? Why do they give a benefit to blue states that have high state income taxes, assault deduction? But this version does make many, many good de promises kept by President Trump. key promises including no tax on tips, no taxes on overtime, tax relief for those earning social security, the biggest income tax cut in American history. So, let’s be clear. Every Democrat in the US Senate today voted for the largest tax increase in American history. They voted against working men and women by voting against no tax on tips and overtime. And by the way, this bill also provides critical border security and military funding. will also be able to deport those illegal criminals. Democrats are still doubling and tripling down on open borders and putting the so-called rights of illegals over the safety of all of you, the American people. They showed again the Democratic party does not believe in peace through strength and that they are the party of weakness and appeasement. And now it heads back to the House where the speaker of the house, Mike Johnson, is working hard to get that big, beautiful bill across the finish line for the 4th of July.

Well, it’s been about a year since Joe Biden’s catastrophic debate performance, but he’s in good spirits, saying he doesn’t think it’ll make a difference in the election. The Mets have gone three and 13 since showing a pride flag during the national anthem. Guys, Pride Month is over, so you can stop sucking. I get it. A group called Women’s March plans to protest Trump on July 4th. Well, be happy it’s not women’s drive. [Laughter] Who would write such garbage? Joe Mackey.
Yes. President Trump announced he’s selling a fragrance that has the scent of confidence, beauty, and unstoppable determination. It’s a big change from the last administration’s scent of choice, Fabreze. A New York man was chased around his driveway by a wild turkey. Meanwhile, a woman in California was chasing wild turkey. I know governor of California. Richard Gear traveled to India to celebrate the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday. Festivities will include a stripper jumping out of a cake and a derbal jumping out of Jer’s ass. Ron DeSantis claims that Trump is excited about visiting alligator Alcatraz. And why not? It can’t be any worse than the time he visited the hungry hungry hippos. [Laughter] [Applause] Archaeologists in the Czech Republic have uncovered a Roman soldier’s wrist purse. Soldiers with purses. Sign me up. [Applause] Mayor Pete started following the UFC on X. It’s not what you think. He just wanted to masturbate. [Laughter] Orders are Tom Holman revealed he doesn’t see his wife very often due to receiving death threats causing husbands across the country to send each other death threats. And finally, a female passenger complained she was flagged by the TSA after her swamp crotch set off an alarm. “Did someone say swamp crotch?” asked one man. “There’s some winners in there.” All right. According to a new poll, Democrats have lost pride in the United States. Although I’m not sure how you lose something you never had. That’s like a poll revealing that Joy Behar lost her sex appeal. But apparently just 36% of Dems are extremely or very proud to be a Yank. That’s down from 62% a year ago back when the president had a body temp of a crisp 62 degrees. But when Trump won, their national pride nosed like a pilot listening to Kilme’s audio book. Now they’re feeling about as proud as a dad whose son was just named prom queen. I know the more you know. But the right has a much different view of our red, white, and blue. And the it’s the flag the left considers a hate crime, especially if it blocks their queers for Palestine bann banner. 92% of Republicans said they’re proud of being an American. The other 8% are watching MSNBC. Not even done. Their uh July 4th coverage includes Rachel Matto barbecuing bald eagles over a burning American flag. But hey, while the Dems reek of despair, Republicans smell great. Which leads one to ask, are new Trump fragrances here? My new Trump fragrances are here. They make a great Christmas present. I’ve named them fight, fight, fight because they represent winning. We all want to be winning. We have to win as a nation. We want to win as a family. This fragrance is all about strength and success and confidence for men and for women. Get yourself a bottle and don’t forget to grab one for your loved ones, too. They’ll thank you and they’ll even smell good. I just ordered 47. You know, if the Dems had a fragrance, it’d be called Exodus cuz like their party, it would drive people away. But the GOP has every right to be proud. The borders cleaned up, gas prices are down, stock markets roaring, and Rosie O’Donnell and Ellen Degenerous are polluting other countries air with their toxic. But we’re patriotic all the time. Even under Biden, 85% of us were still proud to be an American. Why? For us, politics takes a backseat to the country. It’s something we got to deal with, to be sure, but it’s not our identity. But when politics doesn’t tilt in the left’s favor, it ruins their lives because it’s who they are. So, it’s no wonder the second Trump does something great, they lose their faster than a knocked over portaotty. Oh, they love separating people by race, size, class, education. Yet, they can’t separate politics from their daily lives. Without politics, they’d lose their personal identity quicker than Barbara Stryisand after a nose job. Politics was meant to solve conflicts without violence. That’s it. And it’s good when people don’t always get what they want. That means you compromised. The left doesn’t get it. For them, politics must infect schools, entertainment, relationships. Republicans are different. Our lives are like a shopping mall. And politics is like the Spencers on the third floor. If it goes out of business, the rest of the mall is fine, maybe even better. Although, I couldn’t get that I love to fart mug that I wanted. But for Dems, politics is that mall’s foundation. And once something doesn’t go their way, the rest of their lives collapse along with a Foot Locker, Auntie Ans, and Panda Express, which uses real panda meat. They are adorable before you eat them. Then they take it out, their anger out on everyone else. If they can’t be happy, you can’t be happy. But counting on politics for happiness will only make you angrier, especially when your party promises existential crisis at every turn. Worse, the very idea of measuring patriotism is an affront to the left, cuz it’s not a variable that’s included in judging a good person. You might as well measure who is the prettiest member of Antifa. The modern Dem believes America is simply oppressors tormenting the oppressed. Then patriotism champions that they can’t love this country because then they betray their own identity, an identity mired in gloom. But since misery loves company, no surprise, the fourth will feature anti-Trump protests where they will bravely stand for real freedom and build a vision of a free America, which to them means thwarting an elected president, promoting activist judges, and bullying people into silence. No wonder they’re as popular on the fourth as losing fingers. Let’s welcome tonight’s guest. He once performed at the garden, the Olive Garden, comedian Rich Vos. Yeah, that is true. Don’t ask him where he puts them. Aaron, I don’t know what that means either. Erin, it kind of It’s kind of depressing. It’s got to be depressing if America’s decline only raises your spirits because that means when everybody else is having a good time, you feel rotten.
It’s true. And Democrats to their core believe in an ethos that is antithetical to the United States. Zoron Mandami winning right now in New York isn’t a fluke. It is the base of the Democrat party and it is Bernie Sanders playing the long game here. In 2016, he didn’t get the nomination. He should have gotten it. The Dem establishment stopped him and now look, they’ve got a socialist at the top of the ticket here. This is always who Democrats have been. But the reason that they do not like the United States is because it gives everybody equal opportunity. And for them, they pick winners and losers. They pick the people they want to support the most. They stop those they don’t. And look, I’m a woman. I work in politics. I get to wear what I want, say what I want, and I make a living doing this. There is not another nation in the world that I could do this the way I do this in the industry I do this in if I wasn’t in the United States. And the idea that you would be anything other than proud to be in this country is absolutely obscene. Because I can tell you this much, I don’t care if I’m a Republican or a Democrat or anyways, being in this country is the greatest gift God has ever given. Anybody who God, you were saying in the green room that you disagree with everything Aaron said.
No, you know what kills me about the cologne stuff is that people are saying, “Oh, I can’t believe he’s But he’s not forcing anybody to buy it.”
No, I watching Trump’s cologne commercial just now, I was hit with a realization. What? He’s the first president who is also an influencer.
