I regret not voting eventhoughi was on the verge of kms. The reason I didn’t was because I was in some of the worst depression I’ve delt with in 20+ years. The election, no job and overall state of the world was crushing me so ofc i didn’t leave the house. Election day was just another day in a 2 week period that I didn’t leave and I regret a lot
Really, what should be said is, “Both parties are neoliberal parties,” or, “Both parties are deeply invested in capitalism.”
Democrats are very shady and greedy. It takes a very greedy person to choose their AIPAC donors and bankrolling war crimes over saving the lives of starving Palestinians experiencing a holocaust. But Democrats do actually deliver for American people. Not to the extent they could or should, but they’re definitely more beneficial to the economy, marginalized groups of people, the working class, and environmental justice than Republicans. They’re like Jeckyl and Hyde, where Republicans are the spawn of Lucifer. I agree that they are not the same, and they should get credit for voting against this bill unilaterally in both chambers of Congress. Even Fetterman and Gillibrand.

I’m willing to bet that when Democrats take over, they do absolutely nothing or just go in the middle between where we were and where we will be after this bill.
Republicans keep dragging right and Dems keep going halfway.

I wish I could hope for a future where Democrats would unite and push forward helpful things for Americans.
But the future is a theater where helpful things are stopped by a single senator clutching pearls at the last moment.
