A family friend is quite regularly refused because of her guide dog. They seem to think it’s dirty.
> Taxi drivers who refuse to pick up wheelchair users can be fined up to £1,000 and risk losing their licence unless they have a medical exemption.
What medical exemption prevents you from picking up people in a wheelchair? Dickheaditus?
Is this just about London cabs? Because plenty of cars won’t fit someone in a wheelchair.
Of course, cabbies constantly object to any limits being applied to them – bus only routes, resident only roads, traffic filters, etc. – because they claim to be a vital resource for the disabled.
