Tesco employee caught getting petrol from closed station – but supermarket says man who filmed him is ‘in the wrong’

  1. Did the petrol station have a rule saying only key workers could get fuel or that only Tesco workers could refuel there?

  2. “Caught”

If Tesco own the station, it’s entirely their business who they sell to. If they feel they need to give employees fuel to ensure they aren’t shorthanded this seems entirely reasonable.

  3. the bloke was wrong, he had no right to go shouting, swearing, accusing them of something when it was nothing. As for alleged homophobic abuse, so he’s also possibly a criminal then.

edit – also he was a dickhead saying ‘I can film anywhere if I like’, actually it was private land and it could be a trespass to film there without permission, he was thinking of public places.

  4. I can understand why the guys pissed but it’s not like Tesco did anything wrong, it’s not so bad near me this time but last time fuel was in short supply I know of one haulage firm that let staff fill up out of their tank because in a shocking turn of events they wanted their staff to be able to make it in and make them some money.

  5. If Tesco own the fuel station, Tesco can decide who they let purchase it. I fail to see what Tesco have done wrong here. Meanwhile Mr fuckwit needs to fuck off, and take that chip on shoulder with him n all.

  6. Employee gets benefits for working for the company, STOP THE PRESSES

Next you’ll hear them cry about the staff discounts, oh and the ability to put certain items on reduce and held in the back for themselves…. (Or hidden)

  7. Oh no, Tesco decided to let their employees get petrol so they can get to work. How awful, truly. This is the crime of the century. We should something, something, outrage, tuts etc….
