Considering they need to be part of the criminal underground to even get on a dingy, are they really surprised?
Well yes, if you make it illegal for people to work and give them a pittance and house them in terrible conditions, they’re more likely to have to work in illegal ways to make their life liveable. And that’s before getting into police biases and racism. A real stat in creating a problem (terrible conditions) creating a number in how you tackle the problem (badly) and then pointing at it as the problem.

Channel migrants make up 2% of the total immigration figures. Unlike the Tories , Laboure outlining a partnership with France and have rejoined Interpol— which the Tories left in their Brexit deal may I add.
I think they’ve got a fucking cheek to start acting arsed about channel migrants now when they basically buried the problem in the right wing media and spaffed money up the wall coming up with relocation plans that never came to fruition, wasting millions. They also sacked all the civil servants who process the asylum claims, and eventually they paused asylum claims processing when they gave up on the country because they KNEW they’d be out by the next election.

Glad this data is becoming pushed more and more rather than covered up by the police / home office. You can’t make decisions without data. The only sensible solution then is to speed up the claims process, start deporting people and to remove incentives, i.e. you have to stay in a UN style tent village rather than hotels.
If you are genuinely an asylum seeker you’ll put up with this, if you are just an economic one, which they almost always are you’ll give up.
A recent study done by “We Hate Immigrants Incorporated” found that all immigrants are murderous criminals. I’m sure this study was completely bias free

Trusting Tories’ research into boat migrants’ crimes is like trusting a research on the dangers of smoking commissioned by a cigarette company. Something tells me there might be some bias involved.

And maybe I’m reading it wrong, but the data seems to have been based on all foreign nationals in prison, not those who arrived on boats:

So I’m not sure why they chose the headline ‘Channel migrants ’24 times more likely to go to prison’ than Britons’ if that’s not really what the research proves, if it proves anything. It’s almost like the headline is misleading for some reason. Like it’s trying to ramp up the issue that the Tories are revolving half their campaign around. How strange.
Given that a large part of channel migrants are part of human trafficking and exploited for modern slavery this would not be surprising. I am sure the Conservative party analysis truthfully points out the fact that it was their own failings that have helped foster this.
Channel migrants are very much to a large extent vulnerable people being exploited. You can choose to ignore this and lap up the hate but failing to understand this will result in the failure to address the causes of channel migrants.
Put boats in the channel and refuse them entering our waters.
Fuck whatever law this supposedly breaks, France aren’t going to declare war are they. If anything, the French government are complicit by accommodating them and then issuing deportation papers.
Plus, why pay £5000 to a smuggler to use a dinghy when a flight is £100?

why is your life more comfortable than the lives of those in 3rd world countries? because britain built itself and its wealth of exploiting these countries. why are migrants coming? because people always naturally follow their resources. (same reason algerian immigrants will go to france)
if you want the comfort then you have to deal with this – a natural consequence. there’s a reason immigration is allowed. it benefits the billionaires, it benefits the economy. wealth is created by people, they need people to exploit.
if your life is uncomfortable, bills are high, your community is changing, the people to blame aren’t the victims of the same system as you. it’s the people who are deliberately creating that situation for a reason. you’re being exploited to benefit the rich.
your taxes pay for migration, your taxes also paid to bail out the banks in 2008. you don’t reap the benefits of either. only one group of people do.
