> The suspect has a previous criminal record, including assaults, with the most recent conviction in June. He was then sentenced to prison. At the press conference, police said that it was unclear why he was at large.
> In 2023, he was convicted of a stabbing in an apartment. He was also convicted of several store robberies at knifepoint.
Let me help you out for free; he was at large thanks to the inept judicial system. This ingrained incompetence ad nauseam is probably by design.
So:
1. The suspect has a previous criminal record, including assaults, with the most recent conviction in June. He was then sentenced to prison. At the press conference, police said that it was unclear why he was at large.
2. Police took the suspect in custody near the scene immediately after the attacks.
3. He had a so-called craftsman’s knife with him, which is in the possession of police
4. the suspect has admitted carrying out the attacks. He denied having any racist, terrorist or political motive. The suspect said that he did not know any of the victims and chose them at random. He added that he did not remember whom he had attacked.
But:
> The charge could be upgraded to attempted murder
Could ?
One todays episode another f-d up nutter in Finland assaults people going about their day. He will be sentenced to a little talk, and a pretty promise you won’t cause any more stabbings?
I’m over these types in society just walk around like it’s another day of crime. Letting out people like this after a criminal past isn’t helping society and it doesn’t help this guy.
Another example of how our justice system is a complete joke and is incapable of protecting the public.
The man is clearly dangerous to those around him and should be locked up for good.
This is scary, because I actually thought of going to Ratina yesterday and decided against it. Luckily I did, because otherwise, maybe I wouldn’t be alive now.
With our legal system being the way it is, this guy will be out soon and can then stab some more people.
His alleged reasons for stabbing these four middle-aged people are: ”kaikkien ihmisten olevan vihollisia” — everyone is the enemy and “saavat mitä tilaavat” — they got what they deserved. He also said that ”kaikki on samaa pahaa massaa häntä vastaan” — everyone is of the same evil mass against him” and that “hän halusi teollaan lopettaa oman kärsimisensä” — he wanted to end his own suffering by his actions.
Looking at those statements, he was probably unable to find work and all support was cut (shout out to Orpo & friends). He is clearly not getting help for mental illnesss. Maybe there’s no help or support from the people around him and he’s out of options. If you look at the last reason he gave, that he wanted to end his own suffering by his actions, that’s a very Finnish thing for someone to say. He was probably told that if he wants to end his suffering, he has to do something about it himself.
Don’t leave people with no options. There are more every day being squeezed out of society. *Something* will happen because of it. People exist and deserve a life and livelihood. We’re in tough times. People need help. If the people in the community won’t help, family can’t or won’t help, then government must help. If prison is the only way to stay alive, you’ve created a monstrous society.
