  1. You tied for the last available spot but lost out in the lottery draw for that spot.

  2. If I unterstand it correctly you would have needed at least degree 7 and only are degree 186. And in the second row you would have needed degree 27, but only are 28.

  3. There were not enough spots to accommodate you. For the 2nd line you barely missed unfortunately 🙁

  4. 1. If I understood the info correctly there were 428 applicants for 27 spaces and you were 28th.

    2. There seems to also have spots awarded by random draw.

    3. The first row is regarding how long its been since you finished your previous degree and have been ‘waiting’. You only finished a year ago? The person who received a spot due to Wartesemester finished 6 years ago.

  5. Usually, there are a LOT more applications than available spots. Don’t be discouraged, there’s just a lot of competition and you were unlucky here.

I used to work for a law firm dealing with students, who tried to battle those rejections via law, so I’ve got some insights into the processes. There are also a lot more students with perfect 1,0 scores than you think.

  6. The first row is about how many semesters you have gone without being a university student. That‘s 2 for you (ranking you 186th); the person with the fewest such number of semesters who was admitted had 12.

The second row is about your score in the selection process (which can, but need not, consider your prior degrees and experience—it says what exactly it considers somewhere on the degree description). Here, you scored 80, tying you with the person with the lowest such score who was admitted. The second line in the second row says that you unfortunately lost the lottery draw against that person.

  7. First, please provide information next time like on what you applied, what the criteria are etc. I am quite certain they provided information on selection criteria.

There were 27/428 people that got selected by points. You were number 28 and as such not chosen. They likely provided information on how these points are calculated.

There were also 7 people selected purely by wartesemester and the last spot for each category decided by draw if there is a tiebreaker between two or more people (presumably).

Two things to mention: Ranking 28/428 is very good. I would assume almost everyone has a relevant degree (it is a master) and a lot of people have work experience. You could possibly get in if someone decides to not take their spot.
