1. What is the value in warning leaders, when most of the major emitters aren’t even trying to hit their current emissions targets?

   Now that we are [this deep into the polycrisis](https://www.weforum.org/publications/global-risks-report-2025/digest/), the most effective thing a leader could do would be to massively restructure their economy. No leader is willing to do this, because it would hugely impact most of their population while lowering their nation’s competitiveness.

   Isn’t it time we shift focus away from begging leaders to do what they will not do? It’s on us to [build something resilient](https://integrationcenter.org/action/).
