  5. This is Bernd das Brot. Our beloved children show character. He is depressed and we love him for being like that. The children’s broadcast channel has a break from later in the evening till morning (think 22-6 o’clock). In this time space, they send a clip of Bernd on repeat. There are different ones but one per night.

  16. When I moved to Germany my youngest was 3 so a lot of KIKA. I thought Berndt was weird, I didn’t get it. After ten years Berndt was my spirit toast, I love him.

I remember my brother and me staying up to watch the loop for hoursss and my mom would be so frustrated because when Bernd das Brot starts in the late evening it signals the “Sendepause”, a break of the kids tv channel, so kids can go to sleep.. which was counterproductive because it was a masterpiece worth staying up for
