US President Donald Trump has announced that the White House will host a UFC fight to celebrate America’s 250th birth anniversary on July 4, 2026. The announcement was made by Trump on Friday in a speech at the Iowa State Fairgrounds where he launched America 250 – a year-long celebration of the USA’s independence.
Trump said that the White House has “a lot of land” and that it would be a “championship fight” with up to 25,000 spectators.

“Does anybody watch UFC? The great Dana White? We’re going to have a UFC fight. We’re going to have a UFC fight — think of this — on the grounds of the White House,” Trump said referring to his friend Dana White, President and CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
“We’re going to have some incredible events, some professional events, some amateur events. But the UFC fight is going to be a big deal, too,” he said.

While the White House refused to divulge any information other than the President’s announcement on the UFC fight, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Trump is “dead serious” about it.
Trump is a known fight fan and has made several appearances at UFC events. He most recently appeared at UFC 316 in Newark, New Jersey on June 8 and was spotted ringside with Dana White.
