
New documentary focuses on 104-year-old woman and her life in Erie PA

Michael Colpoys has been appointed president of National Fuel Gas Distribution Corp.Colpoys will oversee natural gas service to 2.2 million customers in western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania.
Michael D. Colpoys, of Erie, has been named president of National Fuel Gas Distribution Corp., the utility subsidiary of National Fuel Gas Co.
He replaces Donna L. DeCarolis, who has retired after more than 40 years with the energy company.
Colpoys, who started at National Fuel in 1987 as a management trainee, served most recently as senior vice president for distribution.
In his new role, Colpoys oversees all aspects of the utility, which has nearly 1,600 employees and provides natural gas service to 2.2 million residents in 26 counties in western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania.
“Mike is a strong leader with hands-on operational and engineering experience and extensive knowledge of the energy industry,” David P. Bauer, CEO of National Fuel, said in a statement. “His vast expertise helps to ensure that our Utility business runs efficiently, and our customers continue to receive safe, affordable and reliable natural gas service.”
Colpoys, who earned a bachelor’s degree from Clarkson University and an MBA from Penn State Behrend, serves on the boards of numerous organizations, including the Erie Downtown Development Corp. and the Penn State Behrend College of Fellows.
