I was fully prepared to read yet another cookie cutter article on how when Russia does something it’s bad, but when everyone else does it it’s modern, progressive and democratic. Even began to try and recall things about what’s going on in Syria right now.
But no, the news article was just that – the news; and relevant information pertaining to it. No forced narratives, editorial takes, injected “civilized world” opinions, vodka man bad reminders, the like. If the authors were trying to imply something, it was done subtly enough not to be obvious or irritating.
Something that used to be commonplace, but is rare commodity these days where the news needs to tell you what to think and how to feel about it.
Kind of refreshing, really.
