TULSA, Okla. — Protestors gathered on July 4th at 71st and Memorial to protest the Trump administration.
Many protestors held up signs denouncing the president and his administration’s policies, such as immigration enforcement and the passing of the budget bill.
FOX23 spoke to several protestors who shared why they chose to speak out on Independence Day.
“I think it’s kind of perfect timing here on Independence Day to stand up for freedom and democracy the same way we did in 1776,” said protestor Darren Miez.
Brandon, another protestor, stated, “I hope we can get our country back on track and the Republican Party at some point can take control of their party and leave the cult and realize they’re hurting America, not helping America.”
Protestors also gathered at 41st and Yale Friday morning for the second No Kings protest.
