  1. > The Scottish Conservatives want to see the school day extended as part of a plan to help pupils catch up with learning missed during the pandemic.

    > The party’s council election manifesto calls on the government to fund a pilot of longer days for extra teaching.

*Scottish* Conservatives add it their campaign manifesto. Slightly less dramatic then the headline suggests.

  2. Studies show longer days don’t help students. They actually benefit from later starts and shorter days as it allows them to retain what they learn. This idea will burn the children out and prevent them actually taking in information.

This isn’t to help kids, it is to punish them because Tories think it is unfair they got a break from school that these people never got when they were at school.

  3. You want the same teachers you criticised in an attempt to cover Bodge-it Johnson to work extra hours, most probably for minimal extra pay, if any?

    Fuck off.

  4. The quantity theory of knowledge.

*It takes two weeks to pour a single IQ point into little Timmy’s head, how long will it take to pour enough IQ points into his head so that:*

*a) Timmy is able to vote*

*b) Timmy is unable to question policy*

*c) Timmy is both able to vote and unable to question policy*

    *Show your working.*

*Research has shown the minimum IQ for functional literacy is 58 to 85. What is the costing for Timmy achieving an IQ so that:*

*a) Timmy is able to vote*

*b) Timmy is unable to question policy*

*c) Timmy is both able to vote and unable to question policy*

    *Show your accountant’s working.*
*Marks will be deducted for failure to use a Chartered Accountant.*

  5. Many students I teach are completely burned out by the end of the day. They couldn’t cope with more end of the day lessons.

  6. Fuck off. I’m going to be starting my exams in a month and I think 6 hours a day is plenty. We are progressing fine and don’t need an extention on school days
