Hello, I'm a mechanical engineering student in Darmstadt, looking for a student job that's atleast somewhat relevant to my field but doesn't require a high level of German (I speak just enough to have small conversations and understand most things).

Came across this posting from Bolt a few months back. Was super hopeful but got a rejection within a week or applying.

I was thinking of applying again now, since it's still open.

Is anyone working in this role or has some insider info or tips? Why was I rejected so fast despite meeting all the criteria (I even have a forklift license!). Is it because I'm a student? Or is it just a fake posting? Appreciate any tips.

  1. Id wager you’re overqualified. What they are probably looking for is a juicer.

  2. Looks fake to me. In Germany, “Frankfurt, Germany” is not a term anybody would use since it lacks the necessary information.

  3. There aren’t many details in your screenshot, but is it maybe possible that they are looking for someone with a completed Ausbildung in the field (Zweiradmechaniker)? I know that even for bicycles, some repairs usually may not be done by people without practical qualification or heavy supervision by someone who has those
