DICKINSON, N.D. (KMOT/KFYR) – On Friday we reported on Vice President JD Vance’s surprise visit to North Dakota.
The vice president went on vacation in the Dakotas with his family over the holiday.
Vance answered questions from the media at the Dickinson airport Friday morning.
He talked a lot about the passage of the Big Beautiful Bill, and also answered a question on the part that involves the creation of savings accounts for babies.
“The way you fight back against socialism is to make our young people feel like they have a stake in the future. And what these accounts do is actually give people from the minute they’re born–they of course, can’t access it until they’re adults–but give them a stake in the great American economy, allow them to feel like they have a stake in the future,” said Vance.
Vance and his family later toured the site of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.
