US pauses some weapons deliveries to Ukraine over depleting military stockpiles • FRANCE 24

The ammunition that fuels this weapon could soon run dry as the US moves to pause key arms deliveries to Ukraine. This decision was made to put America’s interests first following a Department of Defense review of our nation’s military support and assistance to other countries across the globe. According to US media outlets, Washington’s decision was prompted by mounting concern over America’s depleting weapons stockpile. The very arsenal that has supplied Ukraine throughout the war. Among the deliveries being halted, dozens of Patriot interceptors, howitz munitions, Hellfire missiles, a precision guided missile system known as GMLRS, and Stinger surfaceto-air missiles. Its weapons Ukraine will struggle to do without as it faces intensifying Russian air strikes. In June alone, Russia ramped up its long range drone attacks by nearly 37% compared to the previous month. It’s meant relentless pressure for Ukraine’s air defenses and an exhausted civilian population already pushed to the brink.

The US on Wednesday announced it would pause some arms deliveries to Ukraine over concern for the US’ depleting weapons stockpiles, dealing a significant blow to Kyiv as Russia continues to intensify its attacks.

I don't say this lightly but I don't want Australia 🇦🇺 reliant on Trump's America in ANY way asap, he and his GOP are absolutely toxic as a partner or ally, it'd be like knowingly inviting a serial killer into your family home and hoping for the best. This is an absolute horror show to watch and I fear the worst is still to come. Makes me incredibly sad for the brave Ukrainians.
