  1. > Cynthia, who was born in Canada, said her parents brought her to the United States from Toronto when she was just 10 years old.

    > In 1999, immigration officers at the Buffalo border crossing issued an expedited removal order against the Canadian after discovering she had been living in the country illegally, she said.

Paragraphs later, the article reports that Cynthia and her husband **”supported Trump’s campaign promise to launch the largest deportation program for criminals in U.S. history”**, and the husband **”didn’t believe she would be targeted.”**

  2. I’m very happy that as a couple they can see the system they supported working so intimately and from both sides.

Must be the best feeling to see your team do exactly what it said.

    <3

  3. There is zero justification anyone would ever be able to come up with for why she’s still in detention when she/the husband want to pay to fly her to Canada.

  4. I find it hard to have sympathy for people who voted for this when it concerns others only to have the consequences of their actions blow upon their faces.

Still, no one should have to go through what ICE makes them endure.

  5. I hope all the trump voters and supporters get exactly what they voted for. <3

  6. I genuinely hope they let her stay.

I don’t want anyone this stupid coming back into Canada.

  7. At this point in Time, the Canadian is an idiot for trying…

  8. Remember folks, cruelty is the point.

The American Fascist Party will turn on you like a pack of rabid dingos whenever it tickles their fancy.

  9. You voted for this.
    Zero sympathy
Unfortunately Canada has to take you back

  10. Okay, first, there was an expedited order for her removal 26 freaking years ago?!

And second, seeing as how she’s a full-on Trump supporter. my schaden is freude-ing the ever-loving *hell* outta this one.

  11. “The only crime I committed is to love this country and to work hard and to provide for my kids”

    – Um, about that…

  12. I am sad that their family has been broken up over this. But they are incredibly naive. They supported Trump, even after she got a work permit under Biden. 🤦

  13. When you condemn someone to hell, a spot opens up for you as well.

We are either all free, or no one truly is. This is why.

  14. I get that this is a “Leopards Ate My Face” moment, but this still sucks. Prior to this administration it was standard practice to issue green cards to the spouses of citizens even if they had done something harmless like overstayed a visa or worked without authorization.

    This is needlessly cruel

  15. You were here illegally and still let your husband vote for Trump after he said multiple times he was going to stage the largest deportation in US history? Enjoy going back to Canada.

  16.  “didn’t believe she would be targeted.”

Just think, this woman is stuck in a prison with the people she actually wanted deported. That’s wonderful.

  17. I don’t feel bad for her, bc her husband voted for Trump and specifically supported mass deportation.

  18. No sympathy for people like this. They voted for this. Donnie is doing exactly what he said he would.

  19. Honestly, I have no sympathy for her MAGA ass. Her husband voted for Trump, who campaigned on deporting illegal immigrants, while his wife is an illegal immigrant? Can’t make this stuff up.

So many Latinos supported Trump just to pull up the ladder behind them, only to find themselves being racially profiled, having their families broken apart, and being denied due process.

  20. She got what she supported. I do not understand what’s the issue here

  21. >The mother of three said she entered the United States from Mexico by driving through the San Diego border a few months later .“They didn’t ask for my citizenship, they didn’t do nothing, they just waved me in,” Cynthia said.

    Pre-9/11 was something else.

  22. My comment, being a Canadian:

    >Both he and his wife supported Trump’s campaign promise to launch the largest deportation program for criminals in U.S. history, he said.
    >
    >Even though his wife was in the country illegally, Francisco didn’t believe she would be targeted.

    LMFAO

  23. why do the leopards eat the faces of only dumb evil pieces of shit? the terrible policy that they support that is meant to harm a demographic of people, surprise they fall in the same demographic . . .

  24. The only silver lining is that she and her husband are trump supporters.

  25. >Both he and his wife supported Trump’s campaign promise to launch the largest deportation program for criminals in U.S. history, he said.

    Well, bye.

  26. Another maga family. Husband wants his vote back cause it affected him. Couldn’t give a shit about our society.

  27. Let me get this straight. She was in the States illegally…. backed Trump’s plan…. and is getting kicked out.

Unless I misunderstood or confused something, I don’t see an issue here? She might as well be asking to be deported herself.

  28. The call was coming from inside the house with this criminal. Glad she and her hubs got what they voted for. They were used like chumps and I find it hysterical tbh.

I hate that this regime has turned me into this person

  29. The entitlement this woman has. Voting against their self-interests is one thing but they actively voted to hurt people who are going to another country for a better life. Unfortunately, she should have gone to gator camp instead, and experienced first-hand treatment of what she voted for.

  30. The husband could always move to Canada, but I would guess they wouldn’t want a trump supporter either.

  31. “Both he and his wife supported Trump’s campaign promise to launch the largest deportation program for criminals in U.S. history, he said.

Even though his wife was in the country illegally, Francisco didn’t believe she would be targeted.”

    Idiots.

  32. I’m still trying to figure out how going to immigration court for hearings isn’t “doing it the right way”.
