SBU Detains FSB Agent Who Coordinated Massive Russian Attacks on Kyiv

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has detained an FSB agent who coordinated Russia’s missile and drone attacks on Kyiv.

According to case materials, the orders of the occupiers were carried out by a 17-year-old graduate of a Kyiv school, who had been recruited by the Russians through Telegram channels promising “easy money.”

The agent’s primary task was reconnaissance: he received coordinates of potential targets from his handler and was instructed to record their external technical condition.

Among the main locations of interest to the enemy were energy infrastructure, Defense Forces headquarters, and air defense facilities protecting the airspace of the capital region of Ukraine.

SBU operatives apprehended the suspect near one of the military command facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, about which he was preparing an “agent report.”

At the scene, a phone was seized from the individual — it contained photos of sites designated by the Russian handler.

SBU investigators have officially charged him under Part 2, Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The suspect is currently in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The complex operation was carried out by SBU officers in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
