Elijah Bryant has officially been unveiled as the newest addition to Hapoel Tel Aviv, a team set to debut in the EuroLeague next season.
This move had been anticipated for quite some time, though recent military tensions between Israel and Iran had threatened to derail the transfer. However, with the situation now stabilized and Hapoel offering favorable terms, Bryant agreed to a three-year contract.

The 29-year-old guard is coming off the best season of his career, having averaged 13.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 38 EuroLeague games with Anadolu Efes.
This will not be Bryant’s first stint in Israeli basketball—he previously played for Hapoel Eilat and Maccabi Tel Aviv. He also had a brief run in the NBA, where he won a championship with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021. Shortly afterward, he returned to Europe and helped Anadolu Efes capture the EuroLeague title the following season.
“I am proud and excited to join Hapoel Tel Aviv. The project that has been built here has intrigued me in particular—the vision, the ambitions, and the desire to succeed at the highest levels,” Bryant said.
Bryant is Hapoel Tel Aviv’s third major signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Tai Odiase and Itay Segev.
It’s also worth noting that two more players have left the club – Noam Yaacov and Marcus Bingham – while the futures of Bruno Caboclo and Johnathan Motley remain uncertain.
