Nothing to do with all the sex abuse, nuns taking babies off unmarried mothers and sending them out for adoption against their will (and also instilling institutional abuse and imprisonment against the mothers)
16.000 Romanians in Dublin apparently. One large church is hardly the second coming.
Romanian pentecostal, building a 5.5 million facility. I wonder how much they make in donations from their congregation? I can’t understand how people in this day and age still can’t see that all religions are for profit organizations.
Are these like American evangelists, who need millions in donations to be able to preach to their flock, need private jets to spread the word
I’m not going to click on that but I presume yank evangelicals.
The video is two years old.
It isn’t surprising that Christianity isn’t going away in Ireland particularly considering immigration but even immigration aside did anyone actually really think that all Irish people were going to stop believing in Christianity?
Love When they show pictures of what they perceive as “the good old days” and its someone kneeling while kissing a random dudes hand.
Bunch of out of date creeps trying to rollback the rule book so they can regain some moral high ground ammunition to use as fake power for whatever creepy idea’s they have in mind.
Don’t spread this nonsense. Even to be critical of it. It’s bullshit and should be ignored.
Yea it’s crazy. I saw a single mother and her child the other day, just calmly walking down the street, without a care in the world. I thought to myself, why hasn’t somebody tried to enslave her and forced her into hard labor for the rest of her life, and taken the child away to be sold or murdered? I tell you, this place has gone cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs since the church stopped running the place. /s
“70% of Irish young people believe that Jesus rose from the dead and believe in heaven and hell”
Now I’d like to see where he got that data from
Send me a good looking nun for the missionary position, and I will consider it!!👍
Feckin eejits have nothing better to be doing with thier lives. Maybe they should focus on thier own piety and not that of others
On a side note, I hate the way they say “Eye-ur-land”
‘70% of irish youth believe in the ‘FACTS’ of the gospel.’
they’re gas so they are.
Missionaries failed, we’ll get em next time mass is on
Google mapped the church. The funny part about it is it’s being built beside a large educate together.
Anyone know what the craic with the monster church is now? I’d imagine COVID put a halt on a lot of what they had envisioned.
My least favourite position tbf, luckily the boys never bother with it ader, giddy up
Abortion and homosexualité in eastern orthodox churches are very very sinful, with a referendum to ban same sex marriage failed in Romania (yes it’s politico). Romanian believers want to influence western European countries and change people’s views.
The lgbt iron curtain divides this continent, the western part of Europe (Ireland and Portugal) versus the far east (Russia). Ireland could have a gay PM while capital punishment for gay people in some Russian territories.
>the israeli flag lapel pin
cant make this shit up
Maybe if the church’s reaction to a massive unused building was to use it to house people, or provide some other good, rather than bulldoze it because people have stopped paying them enough, people would have respected them enough to keep supporting them
