The royal women were dressed to impress for the opening day of Royal Ascot this afternoon.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, was a heavy contender for best dressed at Ascot in a flower-adorned lace gown from Marylebone atelier, Suzannah London.

She completed the look with a peach rose-adorned headpiece from Jane Taylor and a coordinating bag from Sophie Habsburg.

Zara re-wore a custom Rebecca Vallance sky blue dress featuring lace floral embellishment on the décolletage and billowing short sleeves which we first saw at the Gold Coast for the Magic Millions Race Day earlier this year.

Beatrice, the eldest daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York, stepped out in 2025’s best fashion trend, styled by Olivia Buckingham.

The 36-year-old, debuting her new blonder-than-ever hair, was seen in an Arabella pink and white gingham tweed skirt suit featuring a peplum-style top and A-line skirt.

She paired this with a white Anya Hindmarch clutch, nude Jennifer Chamandi heels and jewellery by Anoona.

These day dresses are perfect for events like the races and can be found in a variety of shapes and styles.
