Can Israel and Hamas co-exist? Trump’s ceasefire depends on it

1. Israel and Hamas can coexist for another year or two but it really would just be putting the issue on the back burner.

3. Hamas officials have long said that as long as they exist they will attempt to do an Oct 7th over and over and over again until Israel is destroyed.

   In that utterance (multiple times, by multiple senior officials), they’ve declared quite clearly a refusal to co-exist.

4. No, because the Israeli right is not serious about a two-state solution. Their whole strategy is to make a Palestinian state unviable.

   Hamas is a product of that policy.

5. Anything that is dependent on ol’ Rump is screwed.
