  1. Given how heavily drone warfare is impacting the Ukraine war, it’s understandable. As shown by the attack on the Russian airfields a few weeks back, drones are a ridiculous force multiplier for their cost – $2.2 million in drones managed to do several billion dollars worth of damage.

  2. You know…South Korea may be onto something.

Imagine if Taiwan suddenly made aI drones to defend its island too.

  3. Ukraine proved it’s all about drones and arty now.

  4. I’ve seen some of the drone attack videos, holy moly. The destruction is immense, swift and relatively cheap in comparison.

  5. The near miss drone videos shows that we are already not far off from helicopters being slow moving targets for drones.

  6. Interesting that South Korea takes a completely different lesson than Israel (which is one of the world’s leading manufacturer of armed drones).

Israel wanted to gradually replace their Apaches with drones and concluded in their current war that drones do not offer critical capabilities that Apaches do. Hence, Israel is reportedly interested in signing a deal for a number of AH-64Es later this year.

Moreover, Russian KA-52s were incredibly important in halting past Ukrainian offensives, which shows they also have substantial value in the Ukrainian context.

Would be interesting to see why South Korea believes drones are more suitable in their situation.

  7. A helicopter would stand no chance against a swarm of $500 drones

  8. Poland casually sinking 10 billion USD buying 96 of Apaches.

  9. yeah lots of ppl declare the end of the tank…but I really think it is the end of attack helicopters. I really can’t think of a single role drones could not do as well or better

  10. Korea opts out of bribing rapist, felon, facist wanna be dictator

  11. So how as anyone else figured out electric war fare is going to be huge problem for drones once and sophisticated country takes them seriously , any single can be jammed , and if they aren’t remote controled I’m not sure AI kill bots that make decisions on to kill on thier own is a great idea , and even if we say fuck it we can’t even build a self driving car so good luck with the kill bot

  12. Great warship- however if it can be taken out by a dozen drones at a small percent if it’s cost, not sustainable. The day of big tech is giving away to the day of practical tech.

  13. Manufactured by Samsung or some other Chaebol.

  14. This is the direction the USA is moving in as well. The MV-75 is coming in as a replacement for the Blackhawk and will have some gunship ability, but drones are taking over most attack helicopter missions.
