-In his eyes “it’s criminal damage being done to public property,” so the consequences should be serious.-
Haha, good one
I grew up in a pretty bad area and this was common and I could never understand it. While I’d never condone it, smashing up a shop or govt building can be seen as getting back at “the man” or some crap like that. Doing this crap to playgrounds is literally just hurting your neighbours who are also in similar situations to you and possibly your younger siblings.
First Rome and now popular South Dublin playground. Those dastardly Vandals.
People like this destroy everything then bitch and moan they’ve no amenities.
I’m surprised that councillor didn’t blame SF for this
Garda Station is only 200 metres away but there is a nearly zero Garda presence in the area.
They set fire to a tree and it spread to the wood that was being used to build a new playground. Who the fuck sets fire to a *tree*?
But they had poor backgrounds. Their mam was a filthy junkie and they never knew their dad. They need to be hugged and sent to Alton Towers for a day trip. It’s the residents fault for having a playground there in the first place. Poor young scrotes, maybe we can set up a go fund me account to by them all PS5s?
Garda are appealing……… what a crock , all kids under 18 know they are untouchable under the law, especially for incidents like this , and they are very happy to tell you this .
It’s just bored kids playing with fire. And the council leaving perfect fuel in a handy location.
I’m going with blaming the adults here.
Btw, looks like they are intending to repeat the experiment, new wood has already been ordered, and whether it’s just lying around in ready-made bonfire formation or has been built into the playground, it’ll be a target now. And publishing the fact that everyone was annoyed at the vandalism is only going to work as an encouragement.
If the council has any sense, they’ll order metal, not wood.
My money is on it being an elderly woman who did it.
