We always have to check if they’re at it again

  1. The obsession many Irish people have with the Brits is beyond pathetic.

They literally never think about us.

It’s like the way Cork people are obsessed with Dublin.

  2. There’s no source for the data for this. I’d love to know what “searched country” actually entails. Like is it just “United Kingdom”, or does it cover iPlayer, British Premier League, Amazon, BBC News, SkyGo, flights to UK, Man U, Liverpool… we consume the same media, shop on the same sites and share an island.

  3. I listened to the Pat Kenny show yesterday and they had an author actually talk about this.

We are heavily influenced by London, they are our closest neighbour.

However, dublin is further from Londond than London is from Amsterdam, Brussels or Paris. The main european powers are .kre important neighbours than dublin.

If this bothers you stop watching british media, sports and music and subsitute it for anorher european country.

We are on the wrong side of English Channel to be within the European sphere of influence.

  4. I’m not surprised.

I was at a HSE conference a few weeks ago and the Irish speaker admitted on stage that “I know we don’t like to admit it, but we follow the NHS quite closely”, and a third of the audience groaned in a “Shh we’re not supposed to say it” kind of way.

  5. Eternal vigilance is the price of Freedom. With the likes of Priti Patel now running the UK you have to keep a close eye on them as she’s like the lovechild Thatcher and Putin kept locked in a cellar because they were scared of her.

  6. Brit here and I can confirm that “we” likely are at it again. Many of us here despair of it too – “we” are seemingly at it pretty much bloody everywhere.

Have a week searching for Ukraine instead, “we” will still be at it regardless 🙁
