Germans should chill a bit with this stuff. They’ve also been building shit in Dutch territorial waters. Our border demarcation argument follows common maritime conventions and Germany is just fully committed to the ‘we don’t care the border is at your beach’ argument, which is total nonsense.
I believe we all agree the solution to this is getting rid of Berlin.
Germany has no moral authority to say a single word about illegal immigrants when they were using public money to fund people trafficking ships on the Med and dumping the migrants in other EU countries. For all we know those migrants that they are dumping on Poland were brought to the EU by German taxpayer money.
How it started:
A group of illegal immigrants cross through poland (unnkowingly to the polish authorities) to germany where they are stopped and sent back by german border patrol. The germans did not communicate it properly to the polish border guards (which is against schengen agreement) and just drove them back to poland and left them there at night which was caught on some camera. That raised the alarms of all the right wing propagandists in poland that evil germans have had enough of their evil immigrants and are now sending millions of trillions of billiions of them to poland (one by one in 5 passenger volkswagens cause apparently that makes sense to some people…)
Now there is a huge ruckus on the polish side with hundreds of right wingers coming to the border to do “border police work if the police cant do it themselves”. They are organizing in “civil patrols” they are stopping people checking IDs and searching cars which of course is illegal and mostly bothers people living at the border but a lot of right wing politicians support it because it fits their current agenda.
Its all bullshit of course and im pretty sure they havent found a single illegal lmao. But its working in terms of propaganda and radicalizing people by scaring them with immigrants.
Note: previous right wing government sold over 300k illegal work visas to unregistered people during the previous term.
Please correct me if im wrong but this is what ive gathered of this situation. Its hard to tell what is true and what is not in this era.
