Luka Doncic was placed in the preliminary squad of Slovenia for the EuroBasket 2025, as expected.
The 19 candidates for a spot in the final 12-player roster were revealed by the Basketball Federation of Slovenia on Monday.
Promising youngster Vit Hrabar is a newcomer to the senior national team.

With Donnie Nelson and Greg St. Jean on board, Slovenia is preparing to compete in Group D of the EuroBasket’s preliminary round, facing Poland, France, Belgium, Iceland, and Israel in Katowice, between August 28 and September 4. The top four seeds will advance to the knockout stage, to be played in Riga from September 6 to 14.
In prep games from August 8 to 21, the national team will take on Germany in Ljubljana and Mannheim, Lithuania in Siauliai, Latvia in Riga, Great Britain in Ljubljana, and Serbia in Belgrade.
“We have a new demanding tournament ahead of us and started planning preparations accordingly, games and of course the selection of players early,” noted Sekulic.
