MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Elon Musk confirmed over the weekend a report that xAI acquired a natural gas turbine power plant from from overseas and is bringing it to fuel the supercomputer facility in southwest Memphis.

Musk claims domestic options weren’t fast enough — so the plant will be shipped in from overseas to speed up services. The announcement is already sparking concern in Boxtown, South Memphis and Whitehaven.
