How does a fusion over provincial boundaries work? Will Boortmeerbeek become Antwerp? Will everything stay the same? (And how will those fancy new regions that absolutely couldn’t cross borders cope?)
Slaat nergens op. Antwerpens fusie met Borsbeek was logisch, maar deze fusie is toch echt wel alleen voor het geld.
Good. I think larger the larger the gemeente the better to a certain extent. It’s more efficient and allows for better planning. Now, whether or not those benefits will be realized is a different question..
As a small community merging with a city, why on earth would you do that? That is really not in the interest of the village, especially if you merge with a black hole of debt like Mechelen
Do the People living in towns that want to fusion get to vote about it?
