EUR / USD continues the session just below the flatline, slipping -0.35%. Gold is just below the flatline as it slips -0.51%. Light Sweet Crude Oil rises sharply, gaining +1.77%.

The Spread charges ahead, rising as much as 5 basis points to trade at +89 BPs, while the Italy 10-year BTP yield is at +3.42%.

Among the European markets, Frankfurt attracts bids with a +1.2% rise, London reports no significant price changes in the absence of fresh cues, and Paris performs modestly, showing a moderate +0.35% rise.

The Italian stock market closes on the plus side, with the FTSE MIB +0.74% up; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share holds onto solid gains, ending the day at 42,394 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap inches up +0.43%; the FTSE Italia Star lacks direction (-0.14%).

Buzzi (+4.73%), Iveco (+3.72%), Generali (+2.53%) and MPS Bank (+2.10%) among the top performers in Milan.

Saipem sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -2.65% lower.

Stellantis shows a negative session -2.09% down.

Italgas drifts -1.35% lower.

Snam totters along with a modest -1.3% decline.

Maire (+4.27%), Cembre (+2.72%), BFF Bank (+2.25%) and Cementir (+2.01%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

Comer Industries has the worst performance, closing -2.79% down.

Troubled LU-VE Group falls -2.42%.

ERG is down, with a net loss of 2.27%.

Intercos is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 2.16%.
