And putting clothes in a dryer is bad for your clothes lol.
Americans dress like toddlers in ill-fitting baggy clothes so it doesn’t matter to them if the dryer shrinks them.
Honestly it’s just cope that it’s better for your clothes.
They are harder and stiffer than if you put in the dryer, if they don’t dry fast enough then they smell and you have to wash them again and it takes more space. The small extra damage from drying them isn’t enough to justify that alone.
The real reason is that dyers cost money, permanently take space, electricity is comparatively more expensive in southern Europe, in southern Europe it’s super hot so clothes dry super fast plus it’s slightly better for the clothes.
But Americans have enough space, electricity is cheaper and it’s a more consumerist society so people want to own and buy convenient technology.
To annoy American tourists
Because they can,
It dries in minutes, has less wrinkles than a washing machine, wind softens the fabric and it feels more fresh. The proper way is to do it at the internal patio or roof, but well.
And on a rainy day many will still use a dryer. An electric one, not a gas powered one.
What the fuck is a dryer
They’re not called europoors for nothin.
What’s next? Opinions about clothing choices?
Because running a dryer blows European circuits (at least the ones in the south. Central and Northern European countries aren’t 3rd world lol)
Why is this yank shit being posted here constantly.
Americans when europeans don’t pay for everything:

What about in the winter?
Americans should use the sun and save money on health insurance
Rent free
Unironically, in parts of America it’s much more humid so if you leave the clothes out they won’t dry for days. It’s the same here in the winter so you kinda need a dryer in any case.
Inventing energy consumpting and expensive way to do things you could do for free is an american sport
I have a three year old heat pump dryer, but I rarely use it. Moved to a place with a balcony and simply prefer hanging them out.
It’s not as quick, but the clothes feel better, it costs nothing and it’s better for the environment.
Why nut? I have my stuff outside in the sun and wind during the summer, saves me money, better for the environment etc. My dryer is for the winter times.
Tbh I rarely see clothes hanging outside here anymore, people used to say “you only see clothes hanging outside in the Balkans”.
Maybe we are the savages?
Americans probably don’t have balconies.
This would also explain their bad placements in balconing.

Cause the dryer fucks up my shirts
A race of noble giants came before us and made everything and were just the people who live in the ruins
That is more of an Italian thing, so I bought an Italian drying rack – best one I ever had.
What is this “sun” you’re talking about?
The sun is a deadly laser
Obviously it’s because we can, unlike the Land of the Free, where they often have rules from their housing associations about where they can hang their washing and how many millimetres long their grass is allowed to grow.
Hang drying is also far less stressful on the fibres of the clothes. Less shrinking and longer lasting.
I grew up poor in Miami, Florida so we couldn’t afford a dryer. We used to hang dry our clothes also but the cheap soap was shit and the water was hard so the clothes came off the line stiff as a board and scratchy as fuck.
Americans when given the opportunity to not cause climate change

I’ve got a tumble dryer but only use it when I’m in a rush or if the weather is bad. Why spend unnecessary £ on electricity when I can dry my washing for free?!
