Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Monday plans to expand drone production with allies for the post-war period as well.

“We are working with partners to ensure that production in their countries operates at full capacity as well – both for our shared defence today and for partners’ arsenals after the war,” Zelensky said in his evening statement.

The cooperation would take place with all countries that can help with investments, individual parts and production facilities, he said.

“Step by step, we are closing the funding gap for the production of drones and interceptor drones,” he added.

Last week, Kyiv signed new agreements on drone production in Denmark, and Zelensky announced a meeting of the so-called coalition of the willing led by Britain and France around the reconstruction conference planned for Thursday and Friday in Rome.
The main topic will continue to be air defence and in particular the defence against drone attacks, as Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion for more than three years.

Due to the increasing number of Russian drone attacks on targets deep inside Ukrainian territory Kyiv is urging the supporting states to provide new military aid.
