Russia Becomes Net Food Importer as Economy Falters Under War Strain

1. Now sanction the countries sending food. Russia has been using hunger as a weapon for well over a century. Let them go hungry and feel the pain they’ve caused so many hundreds of thousands. Russia has time and time again demonstrated to not care about civilized values and human rights; it is time to start playing by their rules and get the gloves off. An army marches on its stomach.

2. Are they factoring stolen grain shipments from Ukraine into their calculations?

3. The Russian economy should crash in the near future.

4. They say every civilisation is three meals away from collapse.

   We don’t even need to sanction them on food. We just need to remember that most of Russia is an icy wasteland with little fertile growing land, and charge them accordingly.

5. Imagine being the country with the largest land in the world and only a moderately large population spread very thinly over that huge land… And you still can’t figure out how to do enough agriculture to feed yourself. It should be a no brainer and Russia keeps failing at it regardless of what kind of government is running things.

   Yeah I know lots of that land is too cold to farm. But that’s not where the population is. Where the population is, it should be quite farmable.
