She’s known for her scoring prowess on ice, but Nela Lopusanova added a bronze medal to her trophy case this week on the floor. Lopusanova helped Slovakia win bronze at the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation World Junior Championships.

Lopusanova opened the scoring for Slovakia in the bronze medal game facing Team USA. She also added an assist on a goal by Paula Mandelíková only three minutes later. Mandelíková has also represented Slovakia’s U-18 national ice hockey team.

Ema Donovalová, another Slovakian U-18 ice hockey national team alumni scored the game winner minutes later for Slovakia’s 3-2 win over USA.

Czechia Takes Gold Over Canada

Czechia took a 5-1 win over Canada to capture gold at the tournament, and they were also led by Czechia’s on ice stars. Andrea Kantorová, 16, scored twice for Czechia in the gold medal game. Kantorová is one of Czechia’s top U-18 hockey players winning bronze in 2025 at the U-18 World Championships. She signed this offseason to play in the EWHL.

Kateřina Kotyrová had a goal and an assist for Czechia, as did Anna Štěrbová, while Aneta Zavoralová had the other Czechia goal.
