"I instructed Ukraine’s Minister of Defense to prepare the next Ramstein meetings in various formats. The UK, along with Germany and other partners, is currently keeping Ramstein operational, and in August–September we expect – very much expect – the format to deliver new steps for our Ukrainian resilience.

This week, we are preparing a meeting with members of the Coalition of the Willing. Everyone in the world can see how much Russia is relying on the use of “shahed” drones. They have few options left to prolong the war, and Russian-Iranian drones are one of those few. I thank everyone who is helping us counter these attacks, and of course, everyone supporting our defense against Russian missiles."

  1. Looks like a win-win-win-win

The primary weapon the aggressor depends on will be neutralized (shahed)

The weapon the defenders need shall be conserved (ABM)

Dependence on unreliable partner reduced (Project 25)

Removing one of a few (“remaining options”) is more powerful than removing several of many (infantry, etc.)

  3. This is the way to “win” a war that doesn’t seem to end. In a while we’ll see how they put up a gazillion of automated defense turrets that shoot down everything the Russians throw at Ukraine, *while being cheaper* (saving both blood *and* money), so they’ll inevitably win the attritional war eventually, regardless how long it takes, i.e. how long Russia is willing to keep pissing against the electric fence.

Reminds me of a slow Command ‘n’ Conquer game against several hard computer opponents, when you have managed to fend off the regular attack waves not with hastily scraped together units anymore but with tesla coils, prism tanks, snipers etc. that can be left unattended and repair themselves. That equilibrium is usually the point when you start building reserves to eventually wipe off the enemies at your discretion, or you can finally take a breath and sip on the coffee that is cold meanwhile…

  4. Congrats, Mr. President. Wishing the very best outcome for you and your country. Long live 🇺🇦 Ukraine. 🙏❤️❤️❤️👍🏽
