  1. He’s not wrong. And it’s not wrong to say.

If Democrats ran Texas, these people would likely be alive. Period. Because Republicans, with their greed and lack of care, ensured something like this would happen.

  2. And what do these people say whenever fire season starts on the west coast?

  3. I’m sorry, but it’s true. When you read some of the stuff they’re talking about now a couple days later from Republicans refusing to use government funds to improve their warning systems despite having funds available, to both Texas and Trump forcing people out and not hiring people leaving emergency response completely understaffed, to the sheer stupidity of not having early warning systems in place when you allow people to construct in a floodplain because Texas etc.

It’s horrible but it’s the truth. Republicans simply do not care about others and have zero empathy until something directly impacts their lives. They’d be laughing and mocking the victims if this happened in a blue state just like they do every time there’s a wildfire in California.

  4. Well… When the Medicaid funded hospitals and clinic start folding next year when the cuts come in… Their former partners will be looking for new work as well.

  5. The thing people who know they’re wrong least want to hear is the truth.

  6. Meanwhile Cancun Cruz is vacationing in Europe. Ya can’t make this shit up…

  7. when Christians say things like all these deaths are God’s plan so it’s okay that these people died, they were supposed to die, how come nobody fires them

  8. Highly skilled medical professionals can get better jobs in better places.

  9. I haven’t heard anyone talking about Gregg Abbott saying “Prayer does work.” before Kristi Noem spoke on the event.

  10. Yeah its a shitty thing to say regardless of who’s effected by it. Its shitty when maga says it about blue states, its shitty when democrats say it about red states.

Criticize political views. Criticize systems. Criticize politicians. But dont cheer on the deaths of working class Americans, thats fucking psychotic.

  11. When somebody from the left says a really stupid thing and gets punished – like this woman is currently getting punished – that’s a good thing. The issue I have is that people from the right say stupid shit like this all the time and nothing happens to them.

  12. The amount of posters assuming the doctor is male is wild. Read the goddamn article before posting.

  13. I understand her feelings to a certain extent but as a pediatrician, she should at least be sympathetic to the innocent child victims. But most of all, why in God’s name would you post this shit under your own name? Especially now, people need to guard their identity, come on folks, common sense.

  14. I thought maga believed in free speech? Trump should be giving this doctor the presidential medal of freedom. She is a political victim of cancel culture and wokeness !!! /s

  15. Well, a bunch of idiots voted for Trump, despite all of project 2025 was available online. So he came through on his playbook of making America less safe.

Not our fault the right consists of mostly illiterate dropouts that somehow made it to adulthood without eating a tide pod.

  16. If a Republican said this about a blue state they would get a job in the MAGA party.

  17. I always thought my state had the dumbest people in America but Texas is really giving Florida a run for their money.

  18. The doctor is gonna move to a medical group in a blue state and dramatically upgrade her life.

  19. Shes not wrong though..imagine if that happened in a blue state…she shouldnt of lost her job she shoulda got a promotion.

  20. But fuck all the people who were affected by the California wildfires, right? I remember reading all the vicious comments about that on Facebook…

  21. I definitely understand the rage behind the post, but the unfortunate reality is that 28 kids have died. They never got the opportunity to grow up and vote.

The other reality is that almost 5 million people voted against Trump in Texas. Some of them probably lost their lives too.

A little empathy goes a long way.

  22. but its ok when right wingers do exactly the same, of course

  23. The same people that love Trump for saying shit like this every other day are now all, “Outraged at the insensitivity of this public official!”

  24. Meanwhile we’ve had people on the right screaming that tragedies are the result of democratic policies for decades, and that is seemingly okay. I just wish we could have both sides wearing the same pair of shoes for a change.

  25. Meanwhile, it’s perfectly fine for a sitting president to express that he dosent give a fuck about a state experiencing horrible wildfires, all because it’s a blue state and they didn’t vote for him.

    Such pathetic fucking shit.

  26. As everyone is here to say…. It’s interesting that MAGA wants free speech, and then cancels people when called out for hypocrisy. Hopefully that doctor can now get the fuck out of Texas at least.

Also, what she said was true.

  27. Funny. I thought comedy was back no? I guess that only applies when it’s trans people being booted from military service, or minorities being deported, or women being forced to carry pregnancies to term. Republicans are such shameless hypocrites

  28. What fucking snowflakes man. They never can handle the truth.

  29. No one deserves death but as a logical conclusion to voting for anti-crisis policies and disestablishment of institutions built for this exact purpose you kind reap what you sow

  30. Boy a lot of right wingers in this comment thread putting words in people’s mouths. Aren’t these the “Fuck Your Feelings” people? Why is it when the tables are turned, these folks are all “Be nice to us.” These are the same people who were talking shit about California and Los Angeles when fires were raging. A great man once said “whatever.”
