Tinnitus and hyperacusis are two entirely different things, no? My partner has been having tinnitus for five years now – his brain got accustomed to it and his ADHD also sometimes helps to drown out the “peep” he hears. Took him a long time and lots of fear to get used to living with tinnitus, though. Wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy.
