  1. Flooding happened on friday, he visited the Parthenon on saturday, came back sunday.

    Sure did not know it was simply impossible to avoid visiting the parthenon. I wonder how I’ve managed to do it so long.

  4. The connecting flight was through the Parthenon. There were no direct flights, just like there was no client list

  5. Texas keeps voting for these people.

    Every time a disaster happens their elected officials are on vacation, playing golf, sending thoughts and prayers, and / or blaming God or the Democrats. Every time.

    Then some unelected Democrat(s) step in and run a fundraiser, or go actually get their hands dirty helping in clean up or search and rescue efforts while their elected officials sit at desks saying “I’m doing all I can”.

    And yet every time elections come around Texas goes ‘yeah but, Dems are probably worse’, and vote these walking limp fish sticks back into office.

    I know the tragedy of this is sad and I don’t mean to sound crass about it but Texas gets what it asked for. And they, and every other red state that is or has suffered through a preventable event after voting for people who want to cut funding to the agencies preventing such things, will continue to get what they voted for

  8. Look I despise Cruz but this is ridiculous. Sure I get the really bad optics of his enjoying a vacation while this tragedy unfolded . But from a practical standpoint what role does a US Senator have in recovery efforts? They have no line authority to add funding or order more help to the area. That all belongs with the state and local officials. And once the President declares it a disaster, then those national officials and workers step in to help, like FEMA. To be credible we need to focus on those that are suffering from this horrible tragedy, and those that really can help. And stop looking to nit pick just because we don’t like them. There are dozens of other reasons to go after Cruz that are credible.

  17. I’m starting to remember when he took his kids on a family vacation to Mexico during Covid when nobody was supposed to travel. He’s a disgusting person

Not to take up for Rafael (because I think he’s a first class anti-American douche bag who needs to be shown the door), but his presence at a disaster site only pulls away resources which could be used to aid victims. Honestly he should just stay away and use his position to lobby for fast federal aid.

    Overall gross behavior from the so called patriotic party, who claims to care so much about the country that they want to strip rights away from those they do not like, put those they do not like in camps or shipped off some country they are not even from with no due process, talking about starting civil wars, selling off all the things that made us a strong country for their rich donors to privatize, lying about everything bad happening that is their fault, and then blaming dems for all of it.

    Yeah so patriotic! We the people means all the people. You don’t get to select those who you don’t like. Even if I don’t like these voters, I at least think they deserve health insurance, a place to live, and be able to put food on the table without struggling. Even if they are bumbling idiots who cannot even explain what socialism is while screeching about it, and self serving idiots who cannot understand anything outside their narrow view, and propaganda cocktails of Faux News, ONN, and social media figure heads.
