  1. Oh, I don’t really like this outfit. 😕 It feels especially dated but not in like a cute vintage or retro way (and I’m partial to vintage fashion).

  4. Oh no. Is this outfit Dior? That would be an appropriate choice for meeting the French PM buuut I just don’t like it.

    It’s not really working on her – the colour doesn’t really suit her, and the skirt looks a touch too long. I feel a bar jacket and a tulle skirt needs a touch of whimsy to really work, and there’s no whimsy here – her hair is too controlled, plus the hat and necklace, it’s all very structured.

  5. I normally defend some of her outfits that some people find matronly but I really don’t like this one! The colour is so bland and the hat from above looks oddly twee and girlish against such a long skirt length and a smart jacket. And I really don’t like the mixing of the structured fabric of the jacket and the floaty skirt.

    On the plus side, I do hope those are real pearls and I’m glad she’s bringing out bigger daytime necklaces.

    I would like the blazer much more with a pencil or slightly full skirt in the same fabric and a smart pillbox or similar.

    Mme Macron looks a lot better with her hair pulled back like this and while I don’t love the accessories, I do like her dress. She looked very chatty on the video – I know in the early days her English was understandably a bit shaky, so I guess she must feel a lot more comfortable with the language now after so many official trips over the past seven or eight years.

  7. Such a drab colour. I don’t understand why she wears pastels so much. A nice teal or dark green or maroon or even just navy if she wants to look boring would be so much better

  9. Catherine heard we didn’t like the nude heels and decided to go all in, it seems. She’s a beautiful woman and usually I can find something to like in her outfits but this look really has no redeeming qualities to me. Just musty fusty.

  15. I think I would like this outfit more if there were less accessories (I really dislike when she wears these pearl necklaces) and if the skirt was a bit shorter. Also the bar suit is quite overdone at this point, and it works better with contrasting colors.

  19. I don’t like the cut of that jacket, and I don’t like the combination of the heavy jacket with the gauzy skirt.

  21. I think this is the first outfit of Kate’s that I’ve ever hated. So dowdy!

  22. I adore the blazer. The skirt is a bit too much for me but also pretty. The hat is far too small and I generally dislike when a hat flops downwards and casts a shadow on the face. Otherwise this a lovely colour on her, and it kind of reminds of the Dior skirt suit that Queen Mary wore on Day 1 of her France tour.

  24. I hate everything about that suit. The color is awful on her, and the proportions are off–the jacket should be more nipped in at the waist and shorter and the skirt should be fuller.

    Plus she needs the last 3″-4″ of her hair trimmed so she doesn’t have scraggly ends and whomever did her makeup blended it poorly on her neck, judging from the car pic.

    I like the look 🤷🏽‍♀️ but I’ve always liked the skirt blazer look so I’m probably a bit biased.

    Seems to be from the 2024 collection so curious if it’s a new custom order or if it was purchased previously for their speculated trip to France for the Olympics last year.

    What’s our tiara predictions? Kate won’t be at the state dinner? new tiara? Or it’ll be QMLK? I’m begging for something new but I think it’ll be QMLK (or she won’t even be going). I’m wondering if Camilla will pull out the oriental circlet?
