Trump’s ‘big, beautiful’ law tethers the US to the past. It takes a sledgehammer to American industrial policy, threatening the development of clean energy — a vital 21st century technology. Jobs will be lost. Energy will get even more expensive. Billions more tons of CO2 will be released.

1. Yes, the country of “Back to the Future” goes very quickly forward into the past.
   To about that time which the demented dotard still clearly remembers.
